Hello! I am a Reentry and Cross-Cultural Coach.

I am certified as a Life Coach, specifically studying to coach clients through re-entry and cross-cultural transitions. Being an Adult Third Culture Kid, I have a particular interest in coaching TCKs and their families through the transitions inherent in their lifestyles.

What is Coaching?

Have you ever just felt stuck? You know that something needs to change, or that you need to make adjustments, but you just don't know what that needs to look like? Coaching is a unique relationship which allows a trained professional to come alongside you to help you figure out what needs to happen in your life to get you through a difficult transition or to make sure you get where you want to be. A coach does not tell you what to do -- we are not the experts on your life; you are! Rather, we are experts in how change happens, and we bring that knowledge of what transition and change can look like to the table. Together, we can figure out what that change can look like in your unique situation, and we can help you determine specific steps to implement the changes you choose to make.

Coaching is not therapy -- the goal is not to fix past issues, but rather to move forward in an intentional way. Therapy and coaching meet different goals: much like a physical therapist versus a personal trainer or coach. A physical therapist will help address a problem and bring a person up to a level of normal health. A personal trainer or coach takes a healthy person and helps them to reach a higher goal. In much the same way, a therapist addresses psychological issues and helps a person reach a level a health emotionally and mentally while a coach takes a healthy person and helps them to meet their goals for transition or change.

Why would I want to be coached?

Coaching can be particularly valuable for cross-cultural workers or their family and children, as their lives are full of transition. Coaching can help an indivual or family move through a transition such as moving to another culture, going through culture shock, or repatriating for college or moving back to a passport country.

It can be especially helpful for Third Culture Kids and their families during transitions such a moving "home" for university.

What would I be committing to?

I offer one free "introductory" coaching session, which you are welcome to try out free of charge or committment, to determine if coaching might be of benefit to you.

After that session, I will ask for a 6-session minimum committment, with a maximum of 3 weeks between any two sessions, to ensure that you get the most out of your coaching sessions and we move forward on your goals in a timely manner.  Each session will last approximately one hour, and may occur face to face (if possible), via skype, or via phone call.

I want to be able to serve the ones who need it most, whether they can "afford it" or not. For this reason, I have three pay scales.

$25/ session, or $150 total: this accurately reflects my cost: the cost of my training and certification, and the cost of my time.

$15/ session or $90 total: As I stated earlier, I truly do want to serve those who most need it, even if they cannot afford it. However, I do need to charge something, both because of the time it takes from my schedule, and also because coaching will be of the most help to you if you are invested in it. Therefore, the $15/ session is a subsidised rate, reflecting the donations of others, to make these services available to anyone who needs them.

$35/ session, or $210 total: This is the rate which results in my being able to charge some clients only $15/ session. For every client who pays this rate, I can afford to take one at $15. If you feel led to pay at this level, or to further donate to our ministry, thank you!
